Trump revokes Harvard's ability to enroll international students

US President Trump's administration has revoked Harvard University's ability to enroll international students and is forcing current foreign students to transfer to other schools or lose their legal status.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem ordered the department to terminate Harvard University's Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification effective for the 2025-2026 school year.

Harvard said the move - which affects thousands of students including Indians - was illegal and amounted to retaliation.

Each year, anywhere from 500-800 Indian students and scholars study at Harvard with 788 Indian students currently enrolled.

Trump’s "big, beautiful bill" tax bill passes House test, Senate next

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives narrowly passed a sweeping tax and spending bill that would fulfill many of Trump's populist campaign pledges but saddle the country with trillions of dollars more in debt.

The bill, passed in a 215-214 vote after a marathon push, now heads to the Senate, which will have the chance to approve or change provisions of the bill before it reaches Trump's desk.

PM Salam slams Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has denounced a wave of Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon.

Salam called on the international community to pressure Israel to respect a ceasefire reached in November with Lebanese group Hezbollah.

Salam’s office said the Israeli attacks come at a “dangerous” time, just days before municipal elections in Lebanon’s southern districts on Saturday.

Gaza finally receives much needed aid: UN

To the latest from Gaza now and more than 90 truckloads of humanitarian aid have been collected by UN teams inside the Gaza Strip, three days after Israel eased an 11-week-long blockade.

However, the UN said it was "nowhere near enough to meet the vast needs in Gaza".

The UN added that the delays were due to a lack of security along the single access route approved by Israel's military.

LSG beat GT by 33 runs

To the latest from the IPL, the Lucknow Super Giants beat table-toppers Gujarat Titans by 33 runs in Ahmedabad.

LSG, powered by a sensational century by Mitchell Marsh, posted 235 runs in their 20 overs.
