From blazing performance to a two-day battery life, the Realme GT 7 brings serious heat. It’s slim, powerful, and packed with features — here are our first impressions.

The Realme GT 7 is the newest addition to Realme’s GT series, and it’s clear they’re aiming for top performance with this one. It looks like Realme really wants to take back the performance crown. The phone officially launches on May 27, but I’ve already spent some time with it. And from what I’ve seen so far, there’s definitely a lot to talk about.

Realme GT 7 Design

The Realme GT 7 may come with a plastic back and frame, but it feels surprisingly solid in hand. It doesn’t exactly scream premium, but it’s built like a tank. With an IP69 rating, it’s more than ready to survive water splashes, accidental drops, and even high-pressure water jets.

The variant I’m using is called IceSense Blue. It’s a very minimal look—almost plain at first glance. But there are some neat touches, like the red accents on the power button and camera module, which add a bit of flair. The matte finish also does a good job of hiding smudges and fingerprints, which I always appreciate.

Interestingly, Realme says the rear panel isn’t just for looks. It’s designed to help with heat dissipation by pulling heat away from the processor. I’ll talk more about that later.

Realme GT 7 Performance

When it comes to performance, the Realme GT 7 really does live up to the hype. Realme is calling it a performance beast, and honestly, it shows. They’ve claimed an AnTuTu score of over 2.5 million, though in my own tests, it was closer to 2.1 million. Still, that’s nothing to scoff at—it’s a seriously powerful phone.

Under the hood, it’s running on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9400e chip, which is a slightly toned-down version of their flagship 9400. It’s paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, and everything from launching apps to switching between them feels super fast and fluid.

Gaming performance has been rock solid too. I hit 120 FPS in BGMI and ultra frame rates in Call of Duty: Mobile without a hitch. The gameplay stayed smooth throughout, and even during longer sessions, there was no sign of throttling or overheating.

A big part of that is thanks to Realme’s new IceSense Graphene cooling tech. The back panel actually helps cool the phone by drawing heat away from the processor, and it seems to work well. Even while gaming for a long stretch, the phone stayed cool and responsive. Overall, the GT 7 definitely delivers on the performance front.

Realme GT 7 Battery

One of the standout features of the Realme GT 7 has to be its battery. Somehow, Realme has managed to squeeze a massive 7000mAh battery into a phone that still feels slim and light in the hand. And the battery life is absolutely wild.

Over the past five days, I’ve only had to charge it twice—despite running benchmarks, playing games, and racking up a ton of screen time.
In everyday use, the GT 7 easily lasts two full days, and if you’re not pushing it hard, you might even get more.

When it’s finally time to charge, you’re covered there too. Realme includes a 120W charger in the box, and it takes the phone from dead to full in just 45 minutes. That’s seriously impressive for a battery this big.

Conclusion

So, how does the GT 7 fare in our first impressions? The GT 7 is looking like a proper all-rounder. It nails battery life, delivers top-notch performance, and has a tough, no-nonsense design.

We still don’t know the exact pricing—Realme will announce that on May 27—but if it’s anything like the GT 6, it should fall somewhere between ₹40,000 and ₹45,000. And with bank and launch offers, there’s a good chance you could get it closer to ₹35,000. At that price, this phone is going to be a steal.
