The Poco M7 Plus 5G shakes up budget phones with bold design, 144Hz display, and solid specs—all starting at ₹13,999.

Poco is back to shake up the entry-level phone scene with the all-new M7 Plus 5G, and it’s not holding back. The version we checked out came in Chrome Silver, and let’s be honest—it brings a whole lot of swagger for something that won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

Right from the get-go, the packaging sets the mood. You get a chunky yellow box with just enough branding and a nice matte finish that feels classy, not shouty.

Inside, Poco keeps it practical: there’s the usual paperwork, a surprisingly good black silicone case (trust us, you’ll use it), and, of course, the phone itself. Dig deeper and you’ll find a USB-A to USB-C cable, plus a beefy 33W fast-charger. Basically, Poco’s ticking all the right boxes in the unboxing experience.

Design that Actually Stands Out

The Poco M7 Plus isn’t just another plain slab—it’s got personality. The back is all about sharp, geometric silver sections, outlined with blue and red borders that pop without going overboard.

There’s a big, neatly arranged camera module with a bold “50MP” badge and the POCO 5G logo stacked vertically for that extra flex. At 8.4mm thick and weighing in at 217 grams, it feels reassuringly solid, not flimsy.

If you want a phone that catches eyes but doesn’t scream for attention, this one gets the balance just right. It’s modern, and a little sporty.

Performance, Display and Features

Now, let’s talk specs—because Poco’s not cutting corners. The M7 Plus rocks a massive 6.9-inch Full-HD+ display, with a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 850 nits of peak brightness.

It’s easy on the eyes too, with TUV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and no flicker.

Under the hood, there’s a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip paired with up to 8GB RAM (expandable to 16GB with virtual RAM), and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0, and you get two years of OS updates plus four years of security patches—pretty generous for this price.

BTW, we put three phones, Oppo K13 Turbo Pro vs Poco F7 vs iQOO Neo 10 running on the same chipset, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in a head to head to battle to see how different the experience was. The results were truly shocking.

For the camera crowd, there’s a 50MP main rear shooter and an 8MP selfie camera, with video recording up to 1080p/30fps. It covers all your basics, whether you’re snapping, streaming, or just doomscrolling.

Price and Availability

The Poco M7 Plus 5G starts at just ₹13,999 (6GB/128GB), and the 8GB/256GB version is only ₹14,999. Available in Aqua Blue, Carbon Black, and that standout Chrome Silver, it’s up for grabs on Flipkart from 19 August. All in all, Poco’s definitely got the entry-level segment on notice with this one.
