Did you also fall in love with Sanya from ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’? As Asmaan Singh’s manager, Anya Singh, who plays Sanya, has captivated the audience, and she is all that everyone can talk about. While she debuted in 2017, looks like her big break was waiting in 2025.
While we love her acting chops, one scroll through Anya’s Instagram will make you realise that her fashion is Gen Z coded. Let us break it down for you.
Take, for instance, her bracelet stacks. Gen Z has redefined the art of jewellery-layering, preferring mixed metals, dainty pieces, and statement charms. And Anya has followed suit.
She is often seen with carefully layered bracelets that elevate even her most casual ensembles.

She is also a fan of minimalism and the ‘Tired Girl Look’. In many Instagram pictures, she is seen carrying this look perfectly.

Another Gen Z fashion she owns and nails are the naked nails trend.

Popularised by Hailey Bieber, naked nails have become the go-to in minimalist fashion. They’re the perfect reflection of Gen Z’s tilt toward the understated new sign of minimalism.
Anya also loves her share of thigh-high slits. At the premiere of ‘The Ba**ds of Bollywood’, we spotted many with thigh-high slit dresses, proving that the 90s fashion is back. While Christian Dior introduced it, the thigh-high slit was popularised in 2007 by Angelina Jolie.
This is proof enough that Anya’s style is max Gen Z coded.
Anya started her Bollywood journey in 2017 with ‘Qaidi Band’. The film starred newcomers Aadar Jain and Anya Singh in the key roles and follows a group of seven innocent undertrials who put on a band performance in prison. The film however failed to make a mark at the box office.
She even reportedly had a three film deal Yash Raj Films, but after the first film, the next two never happened. She was discovered by Shanoo Sharma, the casting director for YRF.
Speaking about Anya, Shanoo had told Mid-Day, “Adi [Aditya Chopra] always pushes me to go out and find new talent. When casting for this film, we were trying to get girls from Delhi, Chandigarh and other cities. Anya was the result of the hunt to find the next Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. We wanted someone to come out of nowhere, lead regular lives and conquer the industry. Anya filled that spot for me. She came out of nowhere and landed a three-film deal with YRF.”
