Oppo’s got a new budget phone dropping later this month, and it’s not playing around. The K13x is all about durability—and from what we’ve seen, it might just be the toughest phone you can get under ₹15,000.
Aircraft-grade build, seriously
So, what makes this thing so rugged? Oppo’s using AM04 aluminium alloy for the internal frame—yep, that’s the same kind of material used in high-performance aircraft. It’s apparently 10% stronger than what they used before. Outside, you get a plastic body, but it doesn’t feel cheap. We drop-tested the phone, and to be fair, it took the hits like an absolute champ.
Certified tough, waterproof too
This isn’t just marketing hype either. The K13x comes loaded with durability certifications—SGS Military Standard, MIL-STD-810H shock resistance, and SGS Gold for drop protection. And it’s not just tough on dry land. The phone has IP65 water and dust resistance, so a little rain or splash won’t ruin your day. Oppo’s sealed the ports, reinforced the glue, and added silicone gaskets—basically, it’s properly prepped for the real world.
Looks clean, launch confirmed
We got our hands on the Midnight Violet colour variant, which has a subtle shimmer and a vertical dual-camera layout. There’s also a Sunset Peach colourway if you’re feeling a little bolder. The design’s clean and minimal—nothing groundbreaking, but still easy on the eyes.
Oppo has officially confirmed that the K13x will launch in India on June 23. It’ll be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM options, and with that sub-₹15K pricing, it’s shaping up to be a seriously tempting option for anyone looking for a durable daily driver on a budget.
