Russia has launched missile and drone attacks on several Ukrainian regions overnight, killing at least 1 person in Kyiv.
Kyiv's Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Sunday that the body of one person was recovered from rubble after Russian missile strikes on the capital triggered fires across several districts, damaging buildings and vehicles.
Fires broke out in non-residential areas of the Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi, and Solomianskyi districts. Three people were injured in Darnytskyi, and eight cars were damaged.
An office building in the Obolonskyi district was partially destroyed. Emergency crews are working at the scenes.
Ukrainian Emergency Services reported that a residential building was hit in the Mykolaiv region, injuring three people.
Overall, Russian troops fired 23 missiles and 109 strike and decoy drones at Ukraine overnight, the air force said. The military claims to have downed 13 missiles, 40 drones, and jammed 53 more.
